The lady of Nan Chong Once, long ago in Vietnam, there lived a man, his wife and their baby son. Although they lived a humble existence in a tiny house, they were very happy, until the time came for the husband to go into the army as every young man did. They both cried. The little boy, who was now two years old, cried because his parents cried. On the day that he had to go, she put a lotus flower in his bag amongst his clothes. When he arrived at the army camp and opened his bag, he smelt the sweet lotus blossom. It reminded him of home and his lovely wife. At home the wife was determined that the little boy would remember his father and so every night before he went to sleep, they played a game. |
