Once upon a time there lived a farmer and his wife who were getting old. They found the hard work on the farm too much for them, so they sold firstly the herd of cows, then the flock of sheep, then the goats, the pigs and the chickens. They sold off the fields around their house, the plough, the harrow and the horse and cart. Time went on and the money they made from the animals and equipment they sold had all been spent on food. All they had left was the house.

Ø In museums, Christine tells stories which enhance a particular theme or period of history.  She has worked in Living History projects, on occasion as an Anglo-Saxon breadmaker. Museum-related repertoire includes stories from the Second World War and from the Dark Ages. Museums where she has performed include the Grosvenor Museum (Chester) and West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village (Suffolk).
