Once long ago,  in the county of Cork there lived a woman. Our story takes place one evening, when the children were all asleep and the servants had retired to bed. The woman of the house sat by the fire carding wool and thinking about her day. Thinking too about her husband who was fighting a war on the other side of the world, how she missed him. It was difficult to run the house alone.

Ø People in Places…working title
This artist-in-residence project is aimed at teachers, librarians, curators, and others who provide education and opportunities for young people. It works with parents, carers, guardians and children of primary schools age, and with teams of young people from the neighbouring comprehensive school. Through the oral culture of storytelling, creative writing and visual arts, the project creates a visual arts/creative writing installation celebrating the home and community. The project includes training/inset sessions and enables increased self confidence, cultural awareness and transitional empowerment. Christine can help with fundraising for this residency.
