Christine pointing over a huge hedge young girl in a hat engrossed in a story The Old Woman and the Pig
Once upon a time there was an old woman, who worked as a servant in the big house. One day as she was cleaning after a party in the Long Gallery, she moved a chair – she was one of the few who moved things when she was cleaning – something shiny caught her eye. She bent down for a closer look and found a brand new sixpence! She picked it up and put it in her pocket, muttering “Finders Keepers” to herself. Whilst she carried on with her work that day, she thought of all the things she could get for sixpence – some ribbons for her hat, some wool to make a new shawl, a brand new saucepan. But no: she decided that what she really needed was a pig. She could get a small piglet and fatten it up for Christmas, she could hang a leg of pork in the chimney to smoke and then have ham for Easter. Yes, that would put the sixpence to good use.

Ø Christine has performed at many stately homes throughout the UK and can research and create stories which relate to the particular place. She can also provide seasonal and festive tales, such as Halloween, All Souls, Winter Tales etc.

She can regularly be discovered at Tredegar House near Newport, Gwent (at times below stairs, and sometimes in m'lady's bedchamber) telling tales as part of their Christmas Festivities.
