Ø Christine delivers workshops at many levels, and for all ages and abilities; from first steps to growing a  repertoire, boosting confidence and performance skills, and refining work for performance and publication.

Some workshops are intended to encourage creative writing, by using the ancient skills of the storyteller to inspire plot, inform content and provide structure.

Workshops for storytellers and writers
First steps
In which participants learn basic techniques and see how much they already know, find a story, strip it back to fundamental plot, prepare it for telling, and develop their storytelling skills.

Second steps
Looking at ways in which family incidents, stories and sayings can be incorporated into a story. Developing stories through the use of local and family history, and through the traditional techniques of the oral storyteller.

Top of the ladder
Looking at elements of story, source material and how to gain inspiration. Developing performance skills. Exploring publishing and promotion.

Christine also applies her skills as an Arts Manager/Director to further develop the skills of artists and writers – The Art of Self Promotion.
